چکیده

In dam construction stages when an earth embankment has retained a reservoir with constant water surface elevation for long time, seepage conditions within the will be reach steady state. If it is necessary to drain quickly, pore-water pressures in may remain relatively high while stabling effect of reservoir's weight along upstream (U/S) side removed. This process referring as "Rapid Drawdown" and cause instability face embankment. Kongele one proposed dams implement current plan Iraq. The authors study pore pressure rapid drawdown during month, results were reduced 13, 14 15 days determine optimal time emptying dam's reservoir, which does not affect its stability if factor safety less than 1.2. It was found that coefficient values 13 are required value, close each other by 1.39% higher 1.2 Therefore, perfect or more.
